Hi! Sorry I haven't written a journal in a while ;;

Anyways, here's a wip of the sketch of a new pic for my new Saiki K AU: The Disastrous Life of Hatsune Miku!

DISCLAIMER:

Before I go into the AU itself, I feel I need to say something about the image itself.

Just a quick note: I'm addressing this little detail because I had a lot of anxiety about it when I thought about posting this image/wips (in fact, it's why I'm not even posting it to my Tumblr (yet)  ). So this is mostly just so I don't feel super bad about the whole thing, taking into account the internet culture we live in considering what I'm about to address. 

I have a feeling of the response this image will get.

"This is traced!" (or something along those lines)

Well, yes and no.

First off, the yes.

I will admit. I did a very small amount of tracing, mostly due to the lines matching the proper proportions. I did it just to get the feel of the original image (All y'all Saiki K fans know which image I'm talking about). Some of the head shapes I wanted to keep similar to the original image as well, like Teto and Gumi, since I thought they'd look cute that way.

And as for the no.

I tried to add as much of my own artistic ability in here as I could. I did the faces, hands, hair, and as much of the anatomy as I could from my own artistic style. I wanted to somewhat get close to the Saiki K artstyle in my own artstyle, so they might look a little different from my usual art. I like to tweak the eyes depending on certain factors, of which to sum up, are usually based on the artstyle of the character I'm drawing, on their personality (for the eye shape itself), and their expression (again, usually the eye shapes, but for expressions, it's a bit of both parts of the eye).

I personally do have a very bad history in the past of tracing, and I've resolved myself to not make those mistakes again. I likely will not do this sort of 'tracing' often after this (screenshot redraws are a bit complicated since I've yet to truly finish drawing one (I have a wip somewhere though) and of my process in drawing said screenshot redraws.)

Anyways, I hope this clears up the elephant in the room. If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments  I'm more than open to calm/civil discussion to clear up any concerns if there are any!

Now, onto the actual AU itself! If you took the time to read the above section, thank you so much!  

I'll be listing the characters and tiny bios about them! Keep in mind, most of the personalities have been tailored to the actual Saiki K characters, since Vocaloids, uhh... don't really have personalities?  I tried the best I could, though!

(Note: I am aware that some of these last names that were created from mashing up the names likely aren't actual Japanese surnames. I just wanted to be able to keep both last names and this was the only way I could think of. I haven't quite decided if I will be keeping their original Vocaloid names or doing the mashup names (plus the mashup was mostly just for funsies ) . Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments on what you would prefer! I'll take your feedback into account!  )

Hatsune Miku - Saiki Kusuo (Hatsaiki Miku)

Born with a large multitude of psychic powers, Miku is a rather monotone girl, losing most interest and emotion in life. She is quite the introvert, and doesn't really prefer much attention, often annoyed with her classmates that try to associate with her. Her greatest love is coffee jelly (ALWAYS with a side of onion rings/slices!) and her second greatest love is spring onion. She's rather calculating when it comes to using her powers in the appropriate social situation. She'll often do anything for the right incentive (coffee jelly!), even if it pains her to do so. All she wants is to live a normal life.

KAITO - Nendo Riki (Nendo Kaito)

A student in Miku's class. Kaito is an idiot, but he is very kindhearted. Due to his stupidity, Miku is unable to use her mind-reading power on him. He always tries to hang out with Miku whenever she is in his sight. His only ideas for hanging out outside of school is usually to go get ice cream. His father passed away before he was born from trying to save a child from an oncoming truck.

Fukase - Kaido Shun (Kaido Fukase)

A student in Miku's class. He has eighth-grade syndrome, causing him to believe he is the Falcon Red Wings, destined to be the hero that stops 'Dark Reunion'. He is often mocked and laughed-at for his delusions, and some students even use his delusions to trick him into doing their homework for them. He can be a bit hyperactive when he's indulged in his delusions. He is quite the jokester when he's not discussing 'Dark Reunion', especially on April Fool's Day.

Megurine Luka - Teruhashi Kokomi (Meguhashi Luka)

A student in Miku's class. Born a beautiful girl, her beauty captivates everyone that walks by her. She has spent years forming her outward image, demeanor, and general appearance into that of the perfect, pretty girl. However, on the inside, she is rather arrogant of her ability to woo everyone she sees. The only person that has been able to not be wowed by her beauty and all-around perfection is Miku, who can read her mind and knows just how arrogant she is on the inside. At first, Luka is determined to get Miku to be wowed by her beauty, but later on she considers if maybe she loves Miku, much to the psychic girl's annoyance.

Kagamine Rin - Yumehara Chiyo (Kagahara Rin)

A student in Miku's class. Rin is obsessed with shojo manga and anime, constantly lovestruck. She loves all sorts of romance, be it hetero, yaoi, or yuri, so she crushes on boys and girls. This causes her to at one point have a crush on Miku, who evades her every attempt to get the two into a shojo-like romantic scenario. Eventually, Rin gives up on Miku, and instead falls for Fukase. She only wants true love, just like in all the romance media she's ever read/watched. She is part of Miku and Len's Occult Club.

VY2 (Yuuma) - Hairo Kineshi (Hairo Yuuma)

A student in Miku's class. Yuuma is an extremely optimistic person. He can be rather timid when serious,  but he's often seen more as the leader he is, constantly pushing everyone to be their best, whether it be a classmate on a sports team or even a fallen sports day banner. He is rather athletic, and plays a multitude of sports. After an incident at the beach, he sees his classmate Kaito as an inspiration and rival.

Kamui Gakupo - Kuboyasu Aren (Kamuyasu Gakupo)

A student in Miku's class. Gakupo is a 'former' delinquent, who quit being a delinquent gang leader and joined VL Academy. 'Former' in quotes because he still thinks of resolving issues through violence. He's rather close friends with Fukase, as they're often seen together after Gakupo joins school.

Megpoid Gumi - Mera Chisato (Merapoid Gumi)

A student in Miku's class. Gumi is obsessed with food (carrots specifically being her favorite). Her family is rather poor, often enough to not get very much food, let alone quality, so she works many part time jobs, being more open about them after Miku uses her mind control. She has many siblings and her mother, but her father has been absent most of her life.

Kagamine Len - Toritsuka Reita (Toritsumine Len)

A student in Class 2, and is in his 2nd year like Miku. He is a psychic as well, but he only has a specific range of abilities, that being those of a psychic medium. He can see and talk to ghosts, can see people's guardian sprits, and can even be a vessel to be possessed by ghosts. However, he prefers to use his abilities for his own perverted reasons, as he is constantly trying to get Miku to help hook him up with a cute girl. A ghost informs him about Miku being a psychic, so he leaves her a letter about knowing of her powers and even makes a visit to her home. He and Miku at one point start up an Occult Club.

Teto Kasane - Takahashi (Tetohashi)

A student in Miku's class. She's just there.

Kaede-san - Amp (Kaede-san)

A cat who hangs around Miku's house. After Miku saved her from being stuck between buildings, Kaede-san always hangs out outside. This is because Kaede-san is used to being loved and pampered by passerby, but since Miku can read the minds of animals and, also due to her powers, doesn't really care much for animals or fall for cuteness, she doesn't kneel at Kaede-san's paws as the cat would like. Determined to get Miku to become weak to her powers of cuteness as a cat, she always hangs out around Miku's house. Miku's father always leaves milk and food out for the cat, already weak to Kaede-san's charms, but can't keep the cat in the house, as Miku's mother is allergic.


Now for some characters that aren't in the image!


Meiko - Saiki Kurumi (Hatsaiki Meiko)

Miku's mother. She is the reason Miku hasn't let her powers be used for bad purposes due to her kind heart and soul. However, she drinks quite a bit, having a slight sake addiction, but Miku uses her powers to make sure her mother isn't doing anything too unhealthy with her drinking habits. However, Meiko has a high alcohol tolerance, so she's still very sober when interacting casually. However, she has quite the temper, especially when she's drunk, and can be very scary when ticked off.

Hiyama Kiyoteru - Saiki Kuniharu (Hatsaiki Kiyoteru)

Miku's father. He is rather pathetic, and always relies on his daughter and her powers to help him ease through life. Miku is never amused by his antics and only gives in when coffee jelly and onion is on the line. He works as a manga editor, but often abuses his power to make manga creators change their plots to be psychic-related entirely. However, Miku still cares about her father, so even if she thinks he is a bit of a deadbeat and pathetic, she will still get angry when someone else insults him to her face.

Yowane Haku - Saiki Kusuke (Hatsaiki Haku)

Miku's older sister. Haku was a bit of a child genius, with an IQ of 218, so she was often the center of attention due to her prowess in academics, science, robotics, and the like. She never lost at anything, science faires, tests, you name it. However, when Miku showed her up with her psychic powers, Haku was always defeated in every endeavor by her little sister. She began to have an adiction with playing/fighting with her little sister, and thus always goes after her sister to test her abilities and win their little 'fights'. When her sister's powers were getting far too uncontrollable, Haku built Miku her limiters, which cap her powers so she doesn't accidentally destroy the world, despite how Haku despises humanity. She goes to university in London before returning to Japan for residence after graduating. Despite the extremes that her fights with Miku go to, she does not hate her sister. She just thinks she is teasing Miku. Haku can be a bit selfish and attention-seeking due to her sister complex. Not to mention, she is also immune to Luka's beauty.

DEX - Saiko Metori (Saiko Dex)

A student in Miku's class. He is extremely rich and the heir to the giant Saiko company. He transferred from his prestigious school to VL Academy to make Luka his girlfriend. He often uses money to get whatever he wants, and it usually works for him, so he is not prepared for unconditional favors and kindness. He tries to make Kaito his lackey by bribery, but Kaito only wants to be Dex's friend, the concept of which Dex has yet to truly understand. He often refers to everyone that he percives to be beneath him as 'peasants'.

Ryuuto Gachapoid - Iridatsu Yuuta (Gachadatsu Ryuuta)

Miku's next door neighbor. He is a very young child who is obsessed with the superhero TV group 'Urotander Rangers'. After Miku uses her powers a bit to get Ryuuto's balloon without revealing herself as a psychic, Ryuuto fully believes her to be one of the superheroes on the show, Urotander Green. After Miku denies she is, not even knowing of the show, Ryuuta still believes she is just trying to conceal her identity. He consistently sees Miku's friends as the other show's characters.

Yohioloid - Akechi Touma (Akechi Yohiouma)

A transfer student in Miku's class. Yohiouma (who prefers just Yohio) used to go to elementary school with Miku, but Miku accidentally used her powers on him, and using his deduction skills, believes Miku to have supernatural powers. Miku doesn't want her secret getting out to him, but eventually she finds no other choice (after a particular incident) but to tell Yohio about her powers. Since Miku had saved Yohio from bullies at a young age, Yohio promises to return the favor by not telling anyone about Miku's psychic powers. Yohio is incredibly deductive, and is practically a youth detective. He can never seem to shut up, though, and talks unnaturally fast.

Macne Nana - Rifuta Imu (Rifunana Macne)

A 1st year student at VL Academy. Macne is used to being the cutest to everyone she encounters. However, when she transfers to VL Academy, she is, for the first time in her life, second best, to Luka. She is also quite arrogant about her cuteness in her thoughts, making Miku not charmed to her as well. At first, she is envious and hateful of Luka, despite pretending to be friendly with her outwardly. She goes after Miku to make her close to her, so that Luka will be jealous and she can knock Luka down a peg. However, she eventually falls in love with Luka due to her obsession.

Mini disclaimer! The following character is still a WIP and has not been entirely decided! This journal will be edited if I decide against this character decision! (I might make alternate characters as this next Saiki K character to make it easier for myself to decide (since I just really wanted an excuse to add vflower in this AU ) The alt idea for this character is Galaco! However, that decision has not been made final! Take the following character decision with a grain of salt as it may be changed as I further develop this AU!) 

v4flower (maybe Galaco?) - Aiura Mikoto (Aiura Flower)

A transfer student in Miku's class. Flower is a decora girl, with a small gyaru side. She is also a psychic, specifically a soothsayer/fortune teller. She has the ability to see people's futures and auras. She originally came to VL Academy because her horoscope said she'd find her perfect match at school, all specifics pointing to Miku. She, Miku, and Len form the Psykickers (despite Miku never agreeing to this) and use their psychic powers to stop random disasters around Japan. Since Luka also has a crush on Miku around the time Flower shows up, she believes Miku to be in love with Flower (thinking maybe Miku has a thing for flat girls, something Miku silently denies, not really being attracted to anyone.)


That's what I have for my AU right now! Any characters I may have left out are still in development as I am still working on the AU! I will update this journal when I have come to more definitive decisions about the characters.

That being said, I'm also working on a Persona 5 AU! I will likely make a journal/more art pieces on it at some point after I finish the wip drawing above, so please remain patient!

<sub>ok, so i saw aku's journal recently and i think it would slightly be best if i deleted all the parts of all my akumatt fanfics. i dont want to say too much on the subject, as i want to stay neutral, but seeing her stance on the ship, i realize ive been taking it too seriously. i lost sight of what it was. a joke ship. i took it too far.

im not going to let anyone suffer over this. i dont want people to be upset over things ive made. i know its not my fault in particular, but i want to do whatever i can to make people feel happy and safer.

please, if you see this, i would like to know your thoughts on my choice to delete my akumatt fanfictions. i dont want anyone to be upset by this, and i feel like this choice may be for the best.

im sorry to all the fans of my fanfictions. i will no longer be writing any akumatt fanfictions.

however

that does not mean i will stop writing altogether. i love writing for you all just as much as i love drawing for you all. everyone who has supported the work ive made for you all means the absolute world to me, and i dont want anyone to be upset, so i think im going to continue writing for you all. it will not be akumatt in the slightest, but it will still hopefully be writing that you all enjoy. i will also be writing more on my Wattpad, which i will provide a link to it in a journal if everyone would like to know where they can read more of my writing
